I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I’m curious: what’s everyone’s favorite RPG? It could be a classic single-player, an MMORPG, or even a tabletop game like D&D. I personally love games that let you build your own character and make choices that matter—stuff like Fallout: New Vegas or The Witcher 3. But I also have a soft spot for the old Baldur’s Gate games.

Great topic! I’m a huge fan of indie RPGs that bring something fresh to the table. Undertale completely changed how I think about games—the way it plays with your expectations and makes you care about the characters is incredible. I also loved Chrono Trigger on the SNES; it’s a masterpiece of storytelling and combat.
For MMORPGs, I’ve spent way too much time in World of Warcraft, but lately, I’ve been enjoying Guild Wars 2 for its dynamic events and no subscription fee. There’s also this gem called CrossCode that combines action RPG combat with puzzle-solving. Highly recommend if you like a challenge!
I’m with the old-school crowd. Final Fantasy VI (or III in the US) is my all-time favorite—Kefka is one of the best villains ever, and the opera scene still gives me chills. Secret of Mana and EarthBound are also up there. I’ve tried modern RPGs like Persona 5, and while they’re great, nothing beats the charm of 16-bit sprite work and turn-based combat.
For MMORPGs, I used to play RuneScape back in the day, and it’s still going strong! I also dabbled in Anarchy Online when it launched. Funny how some of those old games are still alive. Anyone else remember Priston Tale or MU Online?
