I’ve been thinking about games that let you play as a cop or a gangster in an open world. The concept has always been appealing—like a modern-day GTA but with more structured factions.
What’s out there now?
GTA Online is the obvious heavyweight, with heists and roles like the LSPD or criminal organizations. But it’s not perfect—griefers can ruin the experience.
Sleeping Dogs gave us an undercover cop story in Hong Kong, but it’s single-player only. L.A. Noire had the detective angle, but no gangster side.
The dream game
I’d love something with GTA V’s scope but with a persistent war between cops and criminals. Imagine a server where players choose factions, complete missions for their side, and the world reacts dynamically. Kinda like a mix of GTA roleplay servers but with official support.
