Showcasing My New GFX Community – Feedback Appreciated!

After weeks of work, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of GoGFX – a brand new graphics community built with the help of Xisto’s free hosting. The site features an orange and black color scheme inspired by retro CRT monitors, giving it a unique, nostalgic vibe. I specifically wanted to break away from the usual red/black or blue/white combos most forums use.

The core of our community is a modern forum platform (think Discourse or XenForo) where graphic designers of all skill levels can share their work, learn from each other, and collaborate. We’ve got sections for signature showcases, tutorials, feedback requests, and more. I’m especially proud of the clean button design – no cluttered stars or icons, just a smooth, minimal interface.

As a new community, we’re looking for active members who want to help shape the culture. Whether you’re a seasoned GFX expert or just starting out, your contributions will be recognized. Active members can earn roles like Moderator or GFX Expert, gaining access to exclusive areas and perks.

Check out the link (no longer active) and let me know what you think! Your feedback on layout, colors, and features is invaluable. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me here on Xisto.

Wow Dawiss, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’ve always wanted to join a graphics community, but most felt too cluttered or unwelcoming for beginners. GoGFX feels fresh and inviting, and the orange-black design is a nice twist – it really stands out.

I already registered and posted my first signature – got a 9/10 from another member! I’m stoked to improve and share more. Quick suggestion: could you increase the signature size limit? I’d love to include my userbar and a few links without having to compress everything. Also, I have a userbar tutorial I created a while back – would it be okay to post it as a resource? I’m happy to rewrite it to match the forum’s style if needed.

Thanks for building this space – I’ll do my best to contribute and make GoGFX a friendly place for both newbies and pros!

Great work, Dawiss! The orange and black theme gives off a strong retro PC vibe, which is a refreshing change from the usual modern flat designs. The forum layout is clean, and I like how the buttons are simple without unnecessary flourishes.

One piece of feedback: on my screen (1366x768 using Firefox), there’s a noticeable empty space on the left side of the page. The content doesn’t seem to be centered properly. It could be a browser-specific issue, but you might want to check the CSS margin or flexbox alignment. Also, have you considered adding a shoutbox? That would allow visitors to chat without logging in, which could help build a sense of community.

Other than that, the color scheme is solid, and the forum structure looks promising. Keep it up!
