Abstract Wallpaper I Created

I made this abstract piece and turned it into a wallpaper. I think it turned out pretty nice! It’s huge, so I linked it from my deviantArt account. Hope that’s okay.

Topic Summary: Abstract wallpaper thread revived with anti-aliasing tips and color matching advice; user asks about car model progress.

Umm, pretty nice work there I must say, I would give it a 10/10. The lighting is extremely good but the only thing is that the whole blue thing doesn’t go well with the C4D.

That’s the only thing I didn’t like in it. Downloads it and uses as a wallpaper.

Brilliant work there, street. It sort of has an underwater feel about it, and the lighting effect is excellent.

My only comment would be that the render has a slightly jagged edge in quite a few places, which would probably annoy me over time. Try rendering it at a higher resolution or quality, or fiddling with the anti-alias.

Good luck in creating more pieces like this.

Wow, I love it. I love at how it pops out at you, and how it blends just oh so well.

And that beam of light coming down just adds to the beauty. I give it a 9/10, it’s nearly perfect, but it feels like something is missing from it.

Besides that, great work! Keep it up.

Wow, looks great. I almost never like abstract wallpapers either.

I thought for sure I wouldn’t like it, but it’s quite good. I love the white organic lines around the liquid metal object.

The use of text matches those and it’s great. The placement is also very nice.

Rating 10.

Thanks for all the great comments guys! Right now I am working on making a car in 3D Studio Max. I will post my outcome when I am finished.

Nice to see this thread still getting attention. The lighting really makes it pop—that central beam gives it a volumetric feel that’s hard to pull off in C4D. I’ve been experimenting with similar abstract renders lately, and one trick that helped with jagged edges was enabling ‘Subdivision Surface’ on the main geometry before rendering. Also, for the blue vs. C4D color mismatch someone mentioned, try using a color profile converter in post to match the gamma. Street, how’s the car model coming along? Would love to see a WIP.
