My favorite games are Call of Duty: Finest Hour (PS2), NHL 2005 (PS2), and Call of Duty 2 (PC). I used to love ROSE Online, but it became pay-to-play, so now I play Knight Online—it’s free, has almost no lag, and the file size is only 350 MB. The graphics suffer a bit, but gameplay is fun with two sides and classes like warrior, rogue, magician, or priest. Check it out at knight-online.com.my. I also love The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past—the first game I ever played at age 3. Ocarina of Time is great too.
I’ve played many good games and loved them all. My favorites are Need for Speed Underground, FIFA World Cup Germany 2006, Midtown Madness, and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. I like racing and adventure games the most. I also enjoy Virtua Cop 2—I tried many times to finish it and finally did. Midtown Madness 2 is my preferred car game. Halo 2 is my all-time favorite; I just bought another copy on eBay after selling my Xbox. Halo 2 is the sickest game ever! I also like Serious Sam, Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
I don’t game a lot, but Counter-Strike: Source is the best online community game—most fun I’ve had in ages. Other favorites include Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Mega Drive, Gran Turismo 2 and 3, GTA, and Metal Gear Solid on PS2—that topped it off. I also like Megaman Battle Network 6 (US version) and Rockman EXE 6 (Japanese version). Naruto: Ninja Council is great too. I play NBA Street and GTA San Andreas. Can’t wait for Rockman ZX and Shin Rockman DS.
NBA Live is always my favorite. Metal Gear Solid series on PS, PS2, and PC—Metal Gear 1, 2, and 3 are my favorites. No other action game compares. My top three are: God of War—the Kratos video on YouTube inspired me to play the demo, then I bought the game and played endlessly. Prince of Persia—I don’t need to explain. Naruto: Ninja Academy—Naruto is my favorite anime. I also love GTA San Andreas, Vice City, Liberty City Stories, Call of Duty 2 on Xbox 360, and Test Drive Unlimited (the demo was amazing).
My favorites depend on the system. On PlayStation: Final Fantasy VII and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. On Xbox: Halo 1 and 2. On PC: World of Warcraft, Diablo 2 (back in the day), and Command & Conquer. I also play online games like Stronghold Crusader, Age of Empires 2, and Empire Earth 2. Half-Life 2 was a huge leap forward with Havok physics. I prefer classic games like Super Mario Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, and Rockman. On GameCube: Paper Mario, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime 2, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Modern games don’t appeal to me much. I prefer classics: Super Mario Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Rockman. On GameCube, I play Paper Mario, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime 2, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. My top favorites: Gran Turismo 4, GTA San Andreas, Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat Final, Counter-Strike: Source, and Counter-Strike 1.5 with mods (on my friend’s PC as I’m a Mac user). Go Apple! I also love Command & Conquer—still one of the best strategy games ever. Rugby games with bone-crunching tackles have been my favorite for years. On PC, The Sims is a great life simulator, along with SimCity and RollerCoaster Tycoon. On PlayStation, I loved Final Fantasy VIII, VII, and X.
I like RollerCoaster Tycoon on PC and GTA San Andreas on PS2. I’m thinking about getting the new GTA. My favorite game is Chrono Cross by Square—great quality for an older game, with a wonderful plot and characters. The music was beautiful. I also loved its prequel, Chrono Trigger. I enjoy combat games like Soul Calibur, which kept me amused for eight hours at a time. Each character’s abilities are so different that I wanted to perfect my skills with all of them.
Half-Life 2 is the best thing on my hard drive—I enjoy it immensely. I also love Age of Empires II, all Star Wars games, and Silkroad. My top games: Battlefield series, America’s Army, StarCraft (old but great), Medal of Honor Allied Assault series, Operation Flashpoint, Ghost Recon, and Blitzkrieg. The GTA series rules action RPGs—I’ve been addicted since the first one. Vice City is technically the best. I also play Counter-Strike: Source, SOCOM Combined Assault, The Sims, Final Fantasy, and Guitar Hero.
Here’s a long list of my favorites: GTA San Andreas, Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings, Vice City, Star Wars, Duke Nukem, WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown, Counter-Strike, Delta Force Extreme, and Need for Speed Most Wanted. I play these according to my mood. As a girl, my favorite series is Resident Evil—especially Nemesis and RE4. Nemesis is the coolest badguy, and I’m in love with Leon. I can’t wait for RE5 on Xbox 360 in 2007. Does anyone agree?
Ragnarok Online is my favorite—I run my own server for fun and have been playing for almost five years. It’s really addictive. I also like Settlers 3 Gold Edition—old but still fun. My other favorites: Mario, Street Fighter, Bingo, Runescape, Diablo, and World of Warcraft (rarely). Runescape for life! Diablo II: Lord of Destruction is great with no monthly fee. Counter-Strike is my current favorite, along with Xbox 360 games like Fight Night and SOCOM. I prefer shooting and adventure games.
I love the StarCraft and Warcraft series. Civilization and Sims-type games are also favorites. Counter-Strike: Source and other Source-based games are great. Definitely SOCOM Combined Assault—I’ve always loved the SOCOM series. The Sims, Final Fantasy, GTA series, and Guitar Hero are also favorites. Some of my top titles: Serious Sam 1 & 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Unreal Tournament, Area 51, Alien vs Predator, Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology, and World of Warcraft. I could go on adding more.
Counter-Strike: Source is my favorite—I could play it all day. I also love Serious Sam 1 & 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Unreal Tournament, Area 51, Alien vs Predator, Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology, and World of Warcraft. The original Wolfenstein was great, even though I never got past the big guy. Far Cry 2 is absolutely amazing in visuals and storyline—non-stop action. I also enjoyed Age of Empires II, StarCraft/Brood War, Conquer Online, and Dota. Right now, I’m playing Call of Duty 4, but Hitman is my all-time favorite. I’m looking for games like Hitman—any suggestions?
My current favorites are Civilization 4, Oblivion, The Witcher, and Prison Tycoon 4. I love the Prison Tycoon series, though the second one was awful. Counter-Strike 1.6 is my most favorite—I’ve played it for years online and offline, and I think it will be my favorite for a long time. I also play Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 5, and Call of Duty 4. I prefer games with a strong plot and player decisions over pure shooters, though I won’t say no to Halo 3. My top ten: Fallout 3, The Orange Box, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy IX, Zelda: The Wind Waker, Chrono Cross, SMT: Persona 3, Final Fantasy VII, and SMT: Persona 4.
Counter-Strike 1.6 is my most favorite game—I’ve played it for years and still play it. I think it will be my favorite for a long time. I also play Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 5, and Call of Duty 4. I prefer games with a strong plot and player decisions, like Fallout 3, The Orange Box, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy IX, Zelda: The Wind Waker, Chrono Cross, Persona 3, Final Fantasy VII, and Persona 4.
I’ve been gaming since the early 2000s, and my favorites have shifted over time. Lately, I’ve been diving into indie games like Hades and Stardew Valley. They offer incredible depth and replayability without requiring a huge time investment. I also appreciate how the industry has embraced accessibility features, making games more inclusive. For example, The Last of Us Part II offers extensive options for colorblindness and hearing impairments. That’s a huge step forward. I’m curious what modern games others think will become timeless classics.
I’ve always been drawn to strategy games, from Age of Empires II to Civilization VI. The depth of decision-making and the thrill of outsmarting an opponent never get old. I’ve also gotten into grand strategy titles like Europa Universalis IV and Crusader Kings III. They simulate history in a way that’s both educational and entertaining. One thing I’ve noticed is that the community around these games is incredibly dedicated—modders keep them alive for decades. For instance, StarCraft II still has a competitive scene thanks to balance patches and custom maps.
