Designing Userbars for Community Patrol Teams

As many of you know, we have a Spam Patrol group here—a team of members dedicated to fighting spam and helping the moderators by reporting offending posts. To show unity, patrol members usually display a special userbar in their signatures. But not everyone has a lot of signature space, and some of us want something slicker than the stock options.

So I’m putting out a request for custom userbars for the Xisto Spam Patrol. Here are the specs:

  • Size: 350x19 pixels (standard userbar dimensions)
  • Theme: Trap 17 or technology-inspired
  • Render: Designer’s choice—feel free to use any style or imagery
  • Color scheme: Darker colors preferred (blues, grays, blacks, deep reds). Please avoid bright neon shades like lime green, pink, or yellow.
  • Text: “Xisto Spam Patrol” or simply “Spam Patrol” (without the Xisto)
  • Extras: I’d love to see a couple of variations, maybe one static and one animated. Get creative and add any subtle effects or icons that fit the theme.

If you’re handy with Photoshop, GIMP, or any other design tool, I’d really appreciate your contributions. Post your designs here and let’s get the patrol looking sharp!

I whipped up a couple of userbars that might work. Both follow the dark color scheme you requested.

Option 1: Static

A simple design with a gradient dark blue background, a subtle circuit board pattern, and bold white text. The “Spam Patrol” text is slightly offset for a modern look.

Option 2: Animated

This one has a pulsing glow effect on the text. The background fades between dark gray and a deep red, with a small shield icon that appears briefly at the start. It’s eye-catching without being distracting.

I designed them at exactly 350x19 pixels, so they’ll fit in any signature without stretching. I can adjust colors or text if needed—just let me know!

I’m also working on a matching forum badge (like a rank icon) for patrol members. I’ll share that when it’s ready.
