I’m exploring options to add a secure blog section to my site where users can post messages and images. I already have an upload tool set up, so users can embed image URLs. Has anyone here migrated from a journal-style system to a full-fledged blog? What platforms or scripts would you recommend that prioritize security and user experience?

Since I’m hosting with Xisto, I have access to cPanel and can install various CMS. I’m considering using a lightweight, modern blog platform that supports user accounts, moderation, and image embedding. Security is a big concern—I want to prevent spam and malicious uploads. Any suggestions on how to lock down a blog system, perhaps with CAPTCHA, content filtering, or role-based permissions?
