What is the Ask A Student Podcast?
The Ask A Student Podcast is a platform where students share their perspectives on education and life questions. It aims to provide authentic, relatable answers from the student viewpoint, contrasting with traditional expert advice. The podcast invites listeners to submit questions via email, which are then answered in episodes.
Why Student Perspectives Matter
Students offer unique insights into the educational system, learning challenges, and personal growth. Unlike gurus or self-help books, student perspectives are grounded in current experiences and peer-level understanding. This podcast bridges the gap between formal education and real-life application, making it valuable for both students and educators.
How to Get Involved
Listeners can participate by sending their questions to the podcast creator via email. The project is in its early stages, with download links to be provided. As the podcast grows, it may explore topics like study tips, career advice, and school life, fostering a community of curious learners.

How about stating the advantage of asking a question to a student instead of, let’s say, an old and wise man living in the highest place in the Himalayas? What sets you apart from all these gurus on TV these days? How is your answer different from self-help books and Wikipedia? Etc… A detailed introduction to your project would most likely receive better responses and replies. And furthermore, that is the standard discussion format of any forum place.
To build a successful student podcast, focus on consistent audio quality and engaging content. Use a simple setup: a USB microphone like Blue Yeti and free editing software like Audacity. Plan episodes around common student questions—study techniques, time management, and career paths. Promote episodes on social media and school forums to grow your audience.
Hey Brandon, great initiative! I think BuffaloHELP makes a good point—a detailed intro would help. As a student, I’d love to hear answers to questions like ‘How do you balance school and hobbies?’ or ‘What’s the best way to prepare for exams?’ Maybe you could start with a pilot episode answering a few common questions. Also, consider using Anchor.fm for free hosting and distribution. Keep us posted!
